Paper & Wire
This stucco system uses asphalt-infused paper, 17-gauge wire, weep screed, corner aids, and plaster stop. These elements ensure a secure, weather-resistant, and durable stucco finish.
Scratch Coat
The scratch coat, the first layer, is applied with a hawk, trowel, and scratcher. Cement is spread to a 3/8-inch depth, with horizontal lines scratched to improve the brown coat's adhesion.
Brown Coat
The brown coat, applied after the scratch coat, uses a "darby," a three-foot trowel with dual handles, for precise control and even cement distribution, ensuring uniformity and structural integrity.
Finish Coat
The final phase, the finish coat, is applied with a hawk and trowel. Choose between synthetic (acrylic) and traditional stucco, and explore textures and finishes to suit your project.
